The groundbreaking ceremony for extending kindergarten No.123 in the Nalaikh district of the capital city, which will be built with a grant from the Grass-Roots Human Security Projects by the Japanese Government, took place today, on May 20, 2020.
The 63-year-old kindergarten is one of the oldest in Nalaikh district and the kindergarten needs new extending as the number of children enrolled in the kindergarten has increased. The extending of kindergarten will open on September 1, 2020, and will have a capacity of 100 children. The ceremony was attended by Governor Radnaabazar.Ch, Deputy Governor Ankhbayar.Kh, Head of Social Development Department Yalalt.S, Head of Educational Department Otgonjargal.D, Director of Kindergarten No.123 Dolgorsuren.D and other officials.
On behalf of the citizens of Nalaikh district, Governor Radnaabazar.Ch thanked the Government of the Japan and Embassy of Japan in Mongolia for its generous support in creating a comfortable and healthy learning environment for Mongolian children.
So far, a total of 550 projects have been implemented since the Grass-Roots Human Security Project began to be implemented in Mongolia in 1990. About 80 percent of the total projects were implemented in the educational sector.
